Sunday, every Sunday, let's have a community picnic. It's probably been a long week, and it's lovely to have a few minutes to sit back and relax and enjoy some good conversation in a less formal space. Feel free to bring something for the Picnic Basket - a poem you liked this week, a thought you had or something you experienced, or even something completely unrelated to poetry whatsoever that you just feel like sharing. Just take a moment to say hello, and maybe have a bite to eat; no one is going anywhere fast, and the shade promises some relief from the everyday heat. Let’s get to know each other a bit better, here under the branches of the poet’s tree.

Poetry Fishbowl
Date: 2012-10-08 07:45 am (UTC)The October Poetry Fishbowl ran this past week, and spilled over from Tuesday to Wednesday. I haven't got the followup report done yet because the net was down. But you can use the "poem" tag to see newly posted poems. Unsold poetry is listed, in case you'd like to buy some.
You can vote on which series should get the free epic. I'll be posting a generally sponsored poetry poll and a half-price poetry sale poll, probably Monday.
Read the 2011 Dwarf Stars Award finalists list. This is for short-short speculative poetry. One of them is mine. These go in the voting anthology which will be mailed to Science Fiction Poetry Association members for voting.
