Sunday Picnic In a Time of Love

Sunday, every Sunday, let's have a community picnic. It's probably been a long week, and it's lovely to have a few minutes to sit back and relax and enjoy some good conversation in a less formal space. Feel free to bring something for the Picnic Basket - a poem you liked this week, a thought you had or something you experienced, or even something completely unrelated to poetry whatsoever that you just feel like sharing. Just take a moment to say hello, and maybe have a bite to eat; no one is going anywhere fast, and the shade promises some relief from the everyday heat. Let’s get to know each other a bit better, here under the branches of the poet’s tree.

Seeking Volunteers To Sign Up To Host a Week

Though we have occasional invited guest Hosts and themed weeks like the one just past, most of poetree's content comes from volunteers who sign up to Host a week.

Please see the current signup post if you think you might be interested. We urgently need a host for next week, but there are also plenty of open slots in October and November on the Community Calendar as well, and we'd much prefer to have a waiting list to draw on week-to-week than need to personally recruit via PM or email every single week.

If you're interested, but unsure what you might post about, comment on this thread & the community can help you brainstorm. Alternatively, feel free to PM poetree_admin and the admins can talk to you privately.

Neat! Well, if you put your name down now, it's likely you'll get either the open slot at the beginning oc October or the one half way through that month. alee_grrl and I are also happy to happy to help you brainstorm, if you'd like assistance on that front.
