Sunday Picnic Under Radiant-Shaking Leaves

Sunday, every Sunday, let's have a community picnic. It's probably been a long week, and it's lovely to have a few minutes to sit back and relax and enjoy some good conversation in a less formal space. Feel free to bring something for the Picnic Basket - a poem you liked this week, a thought you had or something you experienced, or even something completely unrelated to poetry whatsoever that you just feel like sharing. Just take a moment to say hello, and maybe have a bite to eat; no one is going anywhere fast, and the shade promises some relief from the everyday heat. Let’s get to know each other a bit better, here under the branches of the poet’s tree.

Our sister comm poetry is currently running low on weekly Poetry Hosts. Sign up now to share a few favorite poems for a week sometime this month or next.

The second issue of Plunge Magazine, Chase(d), is now live and publicly available online. Poetry submissions for issue #3 will be accepted until Nov. 16th.

Poetry should address the theme "Over and Under the Sea" and possess a genre (e.g., steampunk, cozies, hard sf) aesthetic. Poetry may be in any form (free verse, blank verse, sonnet, pantoum, etc).

The Pod Together 2013 challenge is now complete, with a total of 69 projects. Congratulations to all the participants, official and unofficial alike!
