Sunday, every Sunday, let's have a community picnic. It's probably been a long week, and it's lovely to have a few minutes to sit back and relax and enjoy some good conversation in a less formal space. Feel free to bring something for the Picnic Basket - a poem you liked this week, a thought you had or something you experienced, or even something completely unrelated to poetry whatsoever that you just feel like sharing. Just take a moment to say hello, and maybe have a bite to eat; no one is going anywhere fast, and the shade promises some relief from the everyday heat. Let’s get to know each other a bit better, here under the branches of the poet’s tree.

It only just occurred to me that it might be a problem. I'll go email my partner right now, and if they don't answer I'll bug the admins.
ETA: It's only been a week and, this being a party favor, they've got a couple weeks left. So I'm not going to be terribly concerned. Yet. On another note, jj, do you have any objection to me sharing bits from our workshop chat? (I suspect the answer's yes but I gotta ask. Also gotta ask kaberett and one other person.) The excited AAAH about exploring my process is overcoming the scared AAAH at doing it in front of people, so I'm probably gonna say yes, I'll do the week of posting process and shit as well as text of poem.

Date: 2013-08-25 04:27 pm (UTC)Re: not hearing from your pinch-hitter - keep in mind that you want to leave time in case you do need a pinch-hitter for your pinch-hitter; it's one thing if they're reachable-but-not-started, but being incommunicado entirely for a week without prior notice is not a good sign, especially since most people get more busy going into September rather than less.

I have an email from my partner timestamped twelve minutes after the notif from this comment, actually. Not started recording, but confident of being done and edited by the sixth. So no worries.
