Sunday, every Sunday, let's have a community picnic. It's probably been a long week, and it's lovely to have a few minutes to sit back and relax and enjoy some good conversation in a less formal space. Feel free to bring something for the Picnic Basket - a poem you liked this week, a thought you had or something you experienced, or even something completely unrelated to poetry whatsoever that you just feel like sharing. Just take a moment to say hello, and maybe have a bite to eat; no one is going anywhere fast, and the shade promises some relief from the everyday heat. Let’s get to know each other a bit better, here under the branches of the poet’s tree.

Well I survived last week of classes and am now prepping for finals. Almost done with my second year of law school! Whew.

I have done nothing poetry related, pretty much, except read what people post on dreamwidth. I am in full-on survival mode with this whole moving process. I'm just hoping it will be over soon, or at least we'll move on to phase 2: under contract.

Am in something of a crunch at work, so mostly all I've done is read scattered bits -- including though a fair amount of Emily Dickinson and Sara Teasdale.

Some weeks scattered reading is all we've got time for. Those are very good poets for scattered bits of reading. :) I know how stressful work deadlines can be. Hope the crunch time isn't too awful and that is passes soon.

It ends 30 June, when the unpacking begins. /o\ But at least there is some downtime between now and then, because I now know at least *where* I'm moving.
