Intro to Icebreaker Week: Pod Together 2013

As part of our collaboration with this year's Pod Together challenge, this week POETREE is hosting a parallel two-week icebreaker focusing on helping people of all skill levels warm up their creative juices, get acquainted with the resources poetree has to offer, and get oriented re: the challenges and pleasures unique to creating poetry rather than prose for such a challenge.

We hope all of you, pod_together participants and the broader poetree community alike, have fun with what we have planned.

Icebreaker #1: Hail and Hello (and Some Poetry To Go)

As we belatedly kick off our parallel icebreaker week here at POETREE, let's start with some introductions from everyone, pod_together participants and general members of the poetree community alike.

Please take a moment to comment on the following:

1. Your preferred name(s) and pronouns — how would you like people to refer to you?


2. Are you new to the POETREE community and/or the Pod Together challenge? Do you have any questions, comments, concerns, observations, exaltations or laminations you'd like to share on either front?


3. Did you sign up for the Pod Together 2013 challenge? If yes, in what capacity, and with whom will you be collaborating? If no, would you have any interest in acting as a beta or a cheerleader for one or more of the projects?


4. If you signed up for Pod Together this year, do you know what type of work your group will be creating yet? If yes, please share! If not yet, would you consider doing a poetry project of some kind? Why or why not?


5. Have you ever read a 1k+ poem or poem series? Have you ever read fannish ones? Please share the most memorable - the good, the bad, and the mind-blowing - in preparation for tomorrow's FONSFAQ meme.
