Go you! Yes, that was part of my inspiration for this poem in particular. I was thinking of "Cranes Over Hiroshima," although I went with marble instead of granite. I've also written several poems about nuclear bombs, such as "Atomic Wanderers" and "Like the Vapor-Ghosts of Hiroshima."
