Thank you so much for this wonderful post. It is wonderful to get the story behind the creation of a publication, as those are the stories we rarely get. So often we see just the end product and have no idea of how the creators got to that point. I love that you give us the story of how this idea formed, and how it went from "if I did it" to "so I'm going to do it."

Thank you also for providing such great insight into how to go about the planning process once an idea moves into that "so I'm going to do it." range. I know that I have often struggled with the questions of "what do I do know" and "how do I make this a reality." Those things are easier to deal with now thanks to the internet (and my improved skills at researching on the net), but your insights into the other things that need to be thought about are very useful. I really love the concept of SMART goals. What a useful tool for so many things.
