Signup for Next Community Week: Remembrance and Memorial

November commemorates. From rituals of remembrance to those of harvest, we make honored space for death as part and apart from life.

As our dead are especially present this month, our next community themed week focuses on remembrance. In poetry or prose, performance or poetic complement, meta or medium yet unmentioned - let's introduce each other to those we carry with us. Let's make a kind and listening space for the absences that shape (and sometimes shake) us.

If you would like to participate, please comment on this post to claim a particular open slot and briefly tease us with some sense of what you'll post. Participation is not limited to current comm members or even Dreamwidth members - please contact the admins at poetree.at.dreamwidth [at] gmail if you will need someone to post on your behalf. I would like to talk about the prose poem The Rainbow Bridge and how this short work about loss & reunion by an unknown author has become widely circulated to the point of being a part of every day pet lover culture and lore in the US and other western nations.
