I thought I'd share some poetry written for the Idle No More movement, which is a protest campaign against the Canadian government's recent violation of treaties with its First Nation peoples, as well as a general indigenous rights activist movement. In response to the Canadian government's actions and the noble hunger strike of Chief Theresa Spence (it has been a month), several members have written activist poems to spread awareness.
